Eligibility for B-Tech

Admission in B.Tech.- 1st Year
The admission eligibility criteria are as follows –
Domicile Rule
B.Tech. aspirants from Uttar Pradesh and outside UP can apply for JEE Main examination, and are eligible for B.Tech. admission in Uttar Pradesh. However, outside UP domicile students are not eligible for the B.Tech. seat in engineering colleges across the state. The reservation policy of state government for B.Tech. admissions and Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme is applicable to UP domicile students only. Outside UP domicile students are not eligible for the fee waiver scheme.
Academic Requirements
The subject combination required in the qualifying examination (intermediate examination of U.P.Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent) for admission to first year of different courses shall be as follows:-
Compulsory Subjects : Physics and Mathematics
Optional Subjects (Any one of following Subject) – Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.
For admission to first year of B.Tech candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University and securing minimum 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST Category candidates) without grace in required each compulsory subjects and one optional subject taken together as given above.

Modes of Admission in B-Tech

There are two modes for admissions

1.Through JEE(mains) – 85% seats
2. Through Direct Admission under Management Quota/ Vacant Seats after counseling- 15% seats
1.Through JEE(mains)

2.Through Direct Admission under Management Quota/ Vacant Seats after counseling of UPSEE-2019

We allows management quota for B.Tech. students as per Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Technical University guidelines for which the student has to approach the college.

Utter Pradesh Combined Entrance Test(UPCET):

After JEE (Mains) counseling vacant seat for course B.Tech (Biotechnology) B.Tech (BT) & B.Tech (Agriculture) B.Tech (AG) filled basis of UPCET score. However, for B.Tech. students belonging to the B.Tech (BT)/ B.Tech (AG) stream shall be considered ONLY AFTER filling the seats in this category with students of JEE (Main) Score Card.

Qualification criteria

For admission to first year of B. Tech. candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U. P.Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University; securing minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in required subject combination (two compulsory & one optional)taken together. The candidate is essentially required to pass without any grace marks (as per respective Board/University) in each subject of the subject group (As per rule)

Merit List Criteria

The 15% seats in the institute shall be filled by the candidates under management quota as per eligibility criteria. The vacant seats in Management quota or vacant seats after counseling shall be filled strictly in following preference order, within fifteen days of the last date of counseling:

  • By the qualified candidates of JEE mains, fulfill the eligibility as per eligibility criteria. Their relative merit will be decided on their rank in Entrance Examination (JEE main).
  • By the merit of candidates who undergo a written test and Personal interview at the time
